Our next opportunity to serve at the food bank is coming up on Tuesday, February 17th from noon to 2 pm.

Our volunteer food bank service at the San Rafael warehouse usually consists of packing food so that it can be transported to distribution centers near the neighborhoods where this food is most needed.

Our coordinator is Ellen Nicosia. To participate on the February team, contact Ellen by text or email with your interest and contact info by February 5th so that she can let the food bank know who is coming: 415-720-0225 or ellennicosia@gmail.com.

We have a specific number of slots available and volunteers fill them on a first-come, first-served basis.

Men’s Brunch Sunday

Our GGCSL men are once again providing a lovely Men’s Brunch on February 1st, and we’d love to see as many men as possible participating in the creation, serving, and clean up! Guided Meditation

Our monthly Guided Meditations are opportunities to relax into a meditation with only the effort of staying focused on following the verbal guidance given. It becomes a journey of imagination and faith that we take together, though each of us receives our own guidance and experience during the process, too. Join us in this gentle practice!

All are welcome, and no previous meditation experience is necessary for this free online gathering.

New Members Class

Rev. Mary will be facilitating the Membership class on Zoom. This free course is three Sundays: January 11,  18 and the 25, 2026 on Zoom from 12:30–2:30 pm.

New Members Reception will be held on Friday, January 30, 2026. Location: TBD

New Members will be welcomed during Sunday Service, February 1, 2026

There is no obligation to join, but full attendance and participation at all three sessions is required to do so.
Each week we’ll provide important, useful information about Golden Gate CSL during the first hour, then have a good amount of time for getting acquainted more deeply with others exploring membership during the second hour.

You can sign up now at the Events Table this Sunday, or email administrator@ggcsl.org so Sonia can send your handouts to you and provide the online link for the Zoom meetings. Remember, you’ll need these to participate, so advance registration is a must!

GGCSL Holiday Craft Fair Returns

Sunday, December 14th immediately following our Sunday Celebration, our artists and craftspeople are offering their wares for sale! If you are someone who would like to have a table for the craft fair, please contact Sophie Fleming for details! 10% of your sales goes to GGCSL and the rest is yours. There is a small fee for a table (or a half table).

GGCSLers, bring your cash that day and prepare to do a bit of Holiday shopping for hand-created crafts and art from our own congregation! We look forward to enjoying the delights of everyone’s creativity that day!

Town Hall Meeting

Following the Sunday Celebration on December 7th we will meet at the Corte Madera Community Center for one hour, 11:20 AM-12:20 PM to get your feedback on the live music and workshop offerings we’ve had recently, as well as discussing classes and other future social and educational offerings. All are welcome.

Buck Institute for Research on Aging Workshop

On Sunday, at 1:30 PM at the Sunrise Center in Corte Madera, we’ll welcome Dr. Bijoya Sen, PhD, a research scientist, from the Buck Institute for Research on Aging, who will do a presentation on her current research entitled: The Science Behind Living Better Longer. Attitudinal Healing Group

Beginning September 11th, every Thursday from 4 – 6:00 pm, for 6 weeks, Lynne Law, a former longtime facilitator with the Center for Attitudinal Healing, is offering this group to support our consciousness of wholeness and wellbeing in spite of any conditions that might distract from these.

This circle is a sacred place to honor one another by listening only. No advice is given as it is believed we
all have our own best answers. Each one chooses to share whatever is on their mind and heart in a
nonjudgmental, confidential environment.
