Volunteer at the Marin Food Bank ~ Sacred Service Matters

Sacred Service Matters

As we give service we’re contributing to the quality of life we share and experience. At the Food Bank, we’re literally contributing to Life itself by contributing our time for food security for our neighbors.

SF-Marin Food Bank: Contact Ellen Nicosia by April 1st by email, text, or voicemail to be included as a participant with GGCSL’s team, Tuesday, May 13th  from 12:00–2:00 pm: ellennicosia@gmail.com or (415) 720-0225.

Bring Your Specialty Dish For Easter!

This year Easter is April 20th, and that is also the day we celebrate GGCSL’s 42nd Anniversary. We have sign up sheets ready now at the Activity Table for help with set-up, clean-up, and for potluck dishes you will bring. Please sign up Sunday to let us know what you will bring, and can do to help!

Begin decorating your Easter “bonnet” now for our contest. (Prizes will be available!) And think about one experience you’ve had at GGCSL that has made a big difference in your life. We’ll share these on Easter in a special way.

Jai Josefs and his band are booked to do live music for us in the Sunday/Anniversary Celebration that day, and Rev. Mary will offer one of her stellar messages. Don’t miss this wonderful community celebration!

Wildflower Hike

Steve Einhouse and Deborah Erwin are planning a second Wildflower Hike on Sunday, April 6th at 1:00 at Ring Mountain Preserve in Corte Madera.

Starting at 1:00 p.m. affords everyone time to grab some lunch before meeting up.  There will be a sign up sheet on the table.  Be sure to write down your phone number.

It is best to carpool as parking isn’t plentiful.  If you need a ride to the trailhead please let us know by texting one of us prior to Sunday or by letting us know the day of at Services.  We will match you up with someone who has confirmed they are attending.  Steve 415-238-8767 or Deborah 415-497-5951.
Ring Mountain in a consistent uphill with some switch backs.  Do look forward to beautiful vistas and hopefully many wildflowers. We will hike to a 360 degree view of Marin, so bring your camera. Wear sturdy shoes it could be muddy depending on the weather prior to the date.  There are also lots of rocks on the trail.  If it’s a sunny day bring sunscreen, a hat and water.
Steve and Deborah look forward to a beautiful hike and great conversations!  Bring a friend.
Dogs must be on leash while on Ring Mountain. To learn more check out the link below.  This is a very special place and dear to my heart (Deborah).

Stump Rev. Mary

Time:
-

Stump Rev. Mary! has been well-received at GGCSL in the past. So although Rev. Mary deferred this Sunday event for a week, she will be on the platform this Sunday bringing back this enjoyable process.

Congregants will be invited to write their questions on 3×5 cards at the beginning of the Sunday Celebration, and Rev. Mary will address as many as she can get to during the talk portion of the service. Start thinking about what you’d like to ask.

We could call this Everything You’ve Always Wanted to Ask About Science of Mind & Ernest Holmes. But it’s much more fun to see if the congregation can ask a question Rev. Mary can’t answer somehow. (She likes to call this You Pretend to Have Questions, and I’ll Pretend to Have Answers!)

Come Sunday to enjoy the fun, and bring your deep questions!
