Sometimes life throws us a curve ball and we begin to feel disoriented. Losing track of what we were doing, forgetting things, becoming irritable for no discernible reason, these can all make us wonder if we’re losing our marbles! The poet, Theodore Roethke, wrote, “In a dark time the eye begins to see.” Even though we may feel out of balance or concerned about how to handle all the change and challenges in our lives, remembering that a dark time makes light more obviously noticeable is an encouragement to take heart. Today, let’s focus on looking toward the light we perceive.
