“When I Forget…” (07/09/23)

Rev. Mary Murray Shelton

There may be instances in which practicing Religious Scientists forget everything they know about how the Universe works metaphysically, and get caught up in feeling envious, victimized, resentful, or ashamed. This is just part of being human. It’s what we do once we become aware that we’ve gotten snagged in old beliefs that matters.

Shifting gears when we’ve forgotten isn’t easy. Sometimes there’s a little part of us that seems determined to emphasize how bad things are so we can really dig in and feel sorry for ourselves. If we’ve forgotten the Truth we know, how will we remember? That’s what we’re going to explore together today.
