One of my wise mentors asked this question in a class to those of us participating. He pointed out that we set the limit of good we allow into our own lives, and one of the measures by which we do that is judgement and exclusion. If we exclude anyone from the good we would want for ourselves, that limit also becomes ours.
Yikes! It’s a good practice to find ways to stretch into greater kindness and good will toward everyone—even the most difficult. Let’s see today if we can up–level our attitude toward those we disagree with or with whom we feel uncomfortable. (We risk only our own good by withholding well wishes for someone.)
