An old TV commercial for margarine used the tagline, “It’s not nice to fool Mother Nature!” It isn’t actually possible to fool the universe into supporting dishonesty or falseness. The very nature of Being is wholeness, cooperation and harmony.

As expressions of that Being-ness, the same unerring, deep connection to Truth is always available to us. Why don’t we always recognize it? Perhaps we don’t want to hear it, are embarrassed by it, or think we’ll make a bad impression/not get what we want if others know the real truth. Avoidance can’t make the false true, it can muddy the view, though. Abraham Lincoln is quoted as saying, “How many legs does a dog have if you call the tail a leg? Four. Calling a tail a leg doesn’t make it a leg.”
