“We Are More Than We Know” (07/13/25) – Golden Gate Center for Spiritual Living “We Are More Than We Know” (07/13/25) – Golden Gate Center for Spiritual Living

It seems ironic that we spend our earliest human years developing our sense of things and people as separate from what we identify as “me” and then as adults on the spiritual quest, we spend our years trying to see and live from a place of Oneness and unity. The value in this circuitous path is, as Ram Dass once said, “The game is to be nobody special. But it does seem that we have to be someone before we can be nobody special.”

As souls discovering ourselves, we need separation to be able to experience and enjoy the astounding beauty and variety of form: our Earth, our universe, and Life itself. And then, just as important, we need to learn to see through the mirage of separation to reconnect ourselves at a deeper level of identity with All That Is. Our task as a human is to become one who enjoys it all, and sees God in it all including in oneself. Most of us manage this in small increments from time to time, rather than actually awakening to the Great Wholeness that we are. Today we’ll consider the “More” in us that we may be overlooking or unaware of.
