Faiths that are referred to as “New Thought” have much in common in their basic philosophy and beliefs, though their emphasis and some teachings may vary a bit. Today we’ll explore the place of New Thought religions among the religions of the world and find out how the Science of Mind is like and different from some of these.
“New Thought” is really not new. It can be traced back to the Stoics in ancient times, especially the writings of Epictetus, Seneca and Marcus Aurelius. It is not the same as the practices commonly referred to as “New Age,” though it’s often considered a subset of this grouping.
