If human beings were no more self aware or reflective than any other creature, our bodies would still be a miracle of cooperative organs, actions, functions and cells. But add to all that our capacity for critical thinking, strategy, innovation and creativity, communication and connection, emotion and expression, and WOW!

What a gift it is to live as a human being! How unlikely that earthly evolution would have occurred by sheer chance! Today we recognize that evolution is the intelligent design; that science, philosophy and religion do not need to be in conflict; that human life is magic realized. Let’s take a little time today to marvel that we exist.
