Sally Field appeared in a deeply touching movie recently called Remarkably Bright Creatures, about a woman’s friendship with an octopus. Every creature people investigate and learn about turns out to be remarkable, and so are we. As members of the family of creatures, we all rely on one another for our survival. We, too, have responsibilities in this family to contribute to it somehow. Let’s begin with blessing them all today: whether furry, winged, scaly, finned or skin covered, all matter.
