Today we begin our Giving Program for 2024 and 2025. This is an 8–week journey together, going right through November, in deepening our commitment to our Core Values and taking a path together toward our vision for the future.
Using the Wizard of Oz adventure as our framework, we’re keeping to the overall theme we chose for 2023—our 40th Anniversary year. For the actual anniversary on Easter weekend, we used There’s No Place Like Home as our theme. For this giving program we’re using Follow the Yellow Brick Road.
Today, we’ll consider how HOPE plays a part in each of the main characters’ desires to bring something into their lives they feel is missing. We’ll look at how hopes become fainter as we grow up, and how we might increase the presence of hope in our own lives now.
