Rev. Katherine Saux is stepping in for Rev. Mary while she’s away on a spiritual retreat, this week, exploring the story of sisters: Martha and Mary.

The two women appear in a story in the Gospel of Luke. One sister sits and listens to Jesus while the other rushes about preparing for all that’s needed for such a guest. Like the brother of the Prodigal Son who resents his father celebrating the return of his errant brother, the working sister resents the one who enjoys their guest without helping prepare for him.

Rev. Katherine will explore what we can discover about ourselves by looking at the sisters and seeing aspects of them in ourselves.
