Passover week has just begun. This annual Festival of Lights was being celebrated with the Seder meal by Jesus and his disciples when he was arrested as a political prisoner.
In the Christian tradition, the Sunday before Easter is Palm Sunday, commemorating Jesus’ entry into Jerusalem where he was hailed by his followers as their Messiah—to them, this was an activist role destined to free them from their position under the thumb of the Romans.
For us, in New Thought, Passover and Palm Sunday are metaphors for our own spiritual journey. We’ll explore these metaphors together today.
