Having grown up in a lower middle-class family, I learned that only those who already have money can afford to be generous. But that isn’t true. All of us are called to generosity. The practice of sharing with others changes us, and that change opens the door to greater receiving. But if we aren’t prepared to embrace what is given—to graciously and completely let it in and receive it—we become blocks to our own flow of abundance.
