GGCSL has supported Rev. Dr. Barbara Leger in her Ukraine ministry since it began in 2001. In the last few years, Rev. Barbara has created new initiatives and curricula that teach children in the schools there the principles of inner peace. These teaching modules and the related practices and activities have made a huge impact on the children and their teachers in war-torn Ukraine, as well as in their homes.
Meet on Zoom with Rev. Barbara to learn how you can help ease the burdens of stress for the kids and their families with Possibilities Ukraine, our partnership with Rev. Barbara’s ministry/organization, The Golden Path of Peace, on Wednesday, July 24th at Noon:

Sunday, June 16th is Fathers’ Day. This is an early reminder: set aside your favorite photo of your Dad for our altar on this mid-June honoring of Fathers. (The reminder came too late for some of you for Mothers’ Day, so we’re getting an earlier start on this one.)
Crossing a Sacred Threshold: How to Navigate a Life Passage
A 2-hour workshop with Rev. Mary at GGCSL’s Office/Learning Center, 851 Irwin Street, Suite 217 San Rafael, CA 94901
Sunday June 9th • 1-3 pm • $20
Arrive no later than 12:45 pm for entry into the building.
If you’re experiencing or anticipating a life transition, you’re crossing a threshold into a new realm. Change is disruptive. Inviting Guidance from the deeper realm of Being helps us discover wisdom we can use to help us navigate this unfamiliar newness with more confidence and peace of mind. Using guided meditation, journaling, symbols and metaphor, you can discover inner Guidance to support you through this change.
This month there is a fifth Wednesday, which only occurs quarterly throughout the year. The meditations for these evenings will be chosen by the meditation leader for that week and may be one of the four used regularly each month, or something completely different. It’s a surprise!
Note: Please regularly update your Zoom App for continued connectivity.

We’re not “your usual church.” We’re a welcoming place for anyone wanting to connect with Spirit/Higher Power/Universal Love/Infinite Intelligence without control, dogma, judgment, guilt, or fear.
We celebrate and teach ancient spiritual principles and wisdom, even though the message and music are contemporary and down-to-earth. Relax, enjoy and explore. Chances are you’ll find people here who are a lot like you.
Please join us Tuesday, May 14th at the San Rafael warehouse, when GGCSL will again support the SF-Marin Food Bank from Noon–2pm helping to pack food for distribution in the neighborhoods most at risk of hunger.
Contact Ellen Nicosia by voice mail, email or text message with your contact info and to let her know that you want to be part of the May Food Bank service team: ellennicosia@gmail.com or (415) 720-0225.
This Sunday, May 12th is Mother’s Day, and we’ll be honoring Mothers with flowers and altar images. Bring a photo of your mother (step-mother, birth mother, mother-in-law, foster mother, adoptive mother, or surrogate mother) for our altar to make it as festive and beautiful as possible.
The Frost Family will be creating the altar, as usual on this second Sunday of the month, but your photos are welcome and wanted! In lieu of photos, if you don’t have them, bring something small that was hers or reminds you of your mother. We’ll make space for these treasures. You’re also welcome to bring fresh flowers to festoon the front of the sanctuary space. We wish all mothers a wonderful holiday!
A group of our experienced teachers who are also licensed prayer practitioners at GGCSL meet regularly with Rev. Mary to plan classes, review those that have completed, discuss class policies, and consider new curricula and offerings. These two-hour team meetings happen on alternate months and are specifically for this team.
