Celebrating the Triumphant Journey (11/21/21)

Rev. Mary Murray Shelton

Each life contains daily successes which we generally overlook unless they’re unusual or really huge. Our daily “wins” don’t usually get anything close to what we’d call a celebration. But what if they did? Wouldn’t each day end with a greater sense of fulfillment if we took small wins and celebrated them every day? The manner of celebration doesn’t need to be huge. But taking a breath to acknowledge progress matters. Making a cup of tea while considering how a conversation went well or we were surprised by good news makes a difference.

Today we’ll consider why and how it is spiritually enriching for us to celebrate something every day. Once we start looking for things to celebrate we’ll find we have more and more good showing up that we can acknowledge and enjoy!
