Laughter has power it’s disarming, relaxing, gets our attention and can slip important teachings into a playful, enjoyable format. Today we’re exploring jokes as a vehicle for spiritual Truth. Today’s talk will illuminate spiritual Truths that jokes can underscore, making them easier to remember.

Jesus taught through stories we call parables. In fact, about one third of his recorded actions were spoken parables. The ancient Greeks taught through the dramatic expressions of Comedy and Tragedy. Aesop taught through fables. Indigenous elders teach through example stories. Virtually every spiritual tradition has teaching tales that emphasize basic morals and spiritual concepts.
