This is a challenging week. Having spent three weeks cultivating faith, this week we test ourselves by committing to tithe on all unexpected income. Remember, a true tithe is giving 10% of what we receive to the person, place, or organization that nourishes us spiritually. We are not committing to tithe on all income, but on every cent that comes to us unexpectedly, evaluating where to give that tithe each time unexpected income finds us—even if we find it on the street.
