Water is fast becoming a limited resource in many places on Earth. Just as blood and chlorophyll are the essence of what supports animals and plant life, water is the essence of what supports the planet and ultimately everything on it. Think of all the ways we use water every day. We find and use this precious miracle without much awareness of its value—after all, most of us in the western world have known it to be abundant for as long as we’ve been around.

Today we’ll take time to respect and reflect on the mystery and miracle of water.
