Rev. Sarah Q. Hargrave is a rare combination
of ordained minister, entrepreneur, and former corporate
executive. Her solid background includes 22 years' experience
in the corporate world, plus extensive training in spirituality,
psychology, mind-body health, and organizational transformation.
As Staff Minister at the Golden Gate Center
for Spiritual Living, Rev. Sarah is a ministerial counselor,
practitioner and teacher who assists individuals from a
wide variety of spiritual paths to understand and use spiritual
principles and tools to increase success, health, prosperity,
and satisfaction in life.
In a unique "ministry without walls,"
she provides seminars, workshops, keynote speeches, consulting,
and private tutoring to individuals throughout the United
States. She also conducts weddings, commitment ceremonies,
memorials, funerals, and other custom-designed ceremonies.
A pioneer in the field of spirituality
in work and business, she conducts seminars on this topic
and runs monthly breakfasts in Marin
(second Thursday), San Francisco (second Wednesday), and
Palo Alto (third Wednesday). She also co-facilitates a
monthly brown-bag lunch meeting, "Spirit at Work: A Continuing
Conversation," at the San Francisco Chamber of Commerce.
The book, Megatrends 2010: The Rise of Conscious Capitalism,
by Patricia Aburdene, highlights this meeting in coverage
of "seven trends that will transform how you live,
work, and invest."
In her dynamic course, "Managing
Your Mind for Success: Achieving Results Through Productive
Thinking ," Rev. Sarah teaches her unique problem-solving
and stress-reduction process, applicable to both individual
and business challenges. In her popular course, "Money,
Beliefs and You: The Relationship Between Your Mind and
Your Wallet," she assists individuals to move past
financial blocks and understand the essential link between
their beliefs and their bottom line. Her empowering "Success
Groups" assist people to discover and implement their
own visions of success and teach them how to start their
own "Full-Spectrum Master Mind" groups to support
each others' success.
As President of Hargrave Consulting, she
assists individuals and organizations to clarify and achieve
their goals through Productive Thinking. She also partners
with executives and meeting planners to make their meetings
and conferences more interactive, participatory and productive.
Custom-designed retreats and seminars are a specialty.
Rev. Sarah developed and facilitates Invent
A Session®, an innovative process that taps the ideas,
passion and energy of individual attendees, and allows attendees
to custom-design any meeting or conference to meet their
specialized needs—on the spot! Meeting planners benefit
by increasing attendee satisfaction and decreasing complaints,
as well as gaining useful informaiton about attendees' needs
and interests for use in planning future programs and publications.
Programs she has designed and facilitated

A special track for an international
gathering of over 1,500 business school deans, executives,
and heads of corporate education and training programs
from 77 countries. Participants came together to capture
and disseminate innovative and creative responses of management
educators to key social, political and economic trends.
A two-day program for bank presidents,
senior officers and directors.
An afternoon program for the Institute
of Management Consultants.
A meeting for the Northern California
Society of Association Executives.
A special retreat to promote cooperation
and enhance teamwork for the planned giving staff of California
Polytechnic Institute as they approached their Centennial
Campaign.
A planning retreat for the Board of
Directors of The Sea Ranch.
As a former corporate executive, Sarah's
corporate career included many years with Sears, Roebuck
& Co. As Corporate Director of Marketing/Public Affairs
in the Chicago headquarters, she worked with Dean Witter,
Coldwell Banker, AllState, Discover Card, the Sears Financial
Network, and the Sears Merchandise Group. She was also Vice
President and Program Director for the Sears-Roebuck Foundation,
where she specialized in higher education and lifelong learning.
She later joined The Northern Trust as Vice President of
Marketing, Personal Financial Services. She has operated
Hargrave Consulting since 1989.
